Once again, Singapore is playing host to yet another global event, the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) where 21 economies convene in an effort to further promote and accelerate regional economic integration among the Asia Pacific countries.

To facilitate this, we are looking for volunteers to be trained as “Service Ambassadors” and be part of this prestigious event.

You should be of age ranging from 18 – 50 years old age who are generally out-going and have a bubbly personality. If you think you are the right person, please come forward. Selected volunteers will undergo a 1-Day training (6 hrs classroom training followed by 4 hrs on site recce at potential deployment points). The 1-Day training will be held at Temasek Polytechnic which would encompass social etiquette, protocols as well as some specific social, cultural as well as historical knowledge of the other APEC economics. We are sure you will meet many other similar minded individuals in the process. You may like to note that Certification will be awarded by Singapore Tourism Board & Temasek Polytechnic after the course.

• The Fundamentals of Speech and Drama

An 8-session programme especially tailored to prepare participants to deliver a good and well-structured speech. Sessions are 1.5 hours twice a week.

• Effective Communication in a Presentation

This 8-session programme develops an awareness and appreciation of speech clarity, vocal quality and expression, simple acting techniques and basic teaching methodology.
