Come August 2010, Dick Lee’s Fried Rice Paradise will make its debut with a brand new story, catchy songs and a star-studded cast at the Esplanade Theatre. Produced by Singapore Repertory Theatre’s (SRT) Stage Two, the musical is specially commissioned by the People’s Association (PA) to commemorate its 50th anniversary.

Filmmaker Ho Tzu Nyen is looking for a beautiful and fresh-faced Eurasian female actress aged 16-20 to be the female lead in a new feature film, Endless Day.
The actress must be physically fit, preferably Malay-speaking, and dance or martial arts training a bonus. Experience is not a prerequisite for this role.
About Endless Day: Inspired by true occurrences during the Second World War, this is a story of a Japanese boy and Eurasian girl who try to build a life for themselves in the heart of a tropical paradise, as the world outside gradually collapses on them.
Auditions will take place over the next few weeks. Please e-mail your head-shot and resume to casting@akangafilm.com. Shortlisted candidates will be notified to arrange for an audition session. Filming will commence in September 2010.
The Eurasian Association Family Support Services provides Financial Assistance, Food Vouchers, Rations, Counseling and various other social services to Eurasians who fall outside the brackets. Eurasians who are in need of assistance can make a request for assistance at our Help Clinic.
From March 1 2010, our Help Clinic will be held on Wednesdays with extended hours from 11.30 a.m. and up to 7.30 p.m.

The Asia Pacific Breweries (APB) Foundation Scholarship was launched in 2008 to enable visually, hearing and physically challenged students with outstanding academic results to pursue a university education.
This year, APB Foundation will award 3 scholarships to students to pursue a degree course in a discipline of their choice at the National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore Management University (SMU) or SIM University (UniSIM). Each student will receive $11,000 per year for a maximum of 4 years. There will be no bond attached to this scholarship; however, scholars are encouraged to contribute to the community and social service sector, and serve as a role model to people with disabilities.
