‘The Skinny Chef’ is an introduction to the culinary world of the Eurasian Cuisine, a melting pot of influences from regions such as Portugal, India and Malaysia.
Featuring Singapore’s very own renowned Eurasian Chef, Quentin Pereira will take you on a unique cultural journey into a style of fusion cooking backed by 500 years of tradition and lots of love.
In every episode of ‘The Skinny Chef’, Quentin will enter the kitchens of famous Eurasian Personalities, where we will learn more about the diverse Eurasian culture & its unique cuisine.
The Skinny Chef, an introduction to the wonderful world of Eurasian Cuisine, airs every Thursday starting 22 July 2010 on OKTO at 9.30pm.

Love dancing? Ten Eurasian dancers are needed for a five-minute dance for Heritage Fest 2010 to feature all the ethnic groups in Singapore. The Eurasian portion of the dance is about one minute long. Performances will take place on 14, 18 and 20 August at various venues in Singapore. The next rehearsal will take place on 31 July and 7 August.

Are you a great visual artist? Or just enthusiastic about visual arts? You could paint the future of Singapore for the Live Your Dreams Community Painting in support of National Day 2010, or be a custodian of the canvas that will be painted on.
This is a citizen-initiated event to rally at least 5,000 people from diverse backgrounds to create 10 community paintings on our hopes for Singapore – a future embracing Courage, Compassion, Creativity, Community and Confidence. These values are evinced in the lives of the 10 men who formed the First Cabinet of Singapore on 9 August 1965. The event is organised by the Halogen Foundation Singapore and Studio You Pte Ltd.

This EA University Scholarship is designed to assist deserving Eurasian students who have completed a full-time, three-year local Polytechnic diploma and wish to pursue an approved undergraduate degree course at one of the three local universities.
Eurasian students who are Singapore citizens, have at least one parent who is Eurasian with a household income below $1,500 or per capita income below $450, are welcome to apply.
Application forms can be obtained from the EA Secretariat office at 139 Ceylon Rd, Level 3.

Rupture, a young video production company, is producing its fifth independent film project entitled, “The Will to Will”. This film is a lighthearted story about a chance encounter between two men in a photo shop.
Rupture is looking for a Eurasian man to play Larry, one of the lead characters. He must:
- Be aged between 60 to 70 years old
- Have white hair
- Be well-spoken in English, with a crisp, neat local accent
No prior acting experience is necessary, just a strong confidence in carrying off the role. Shoot dates are set towards the end of August and will probably take place over a weekend, for two days. Talents will be paid a token fee. This is a great opportunity for anyone who has always wanted to give acting a try!
