The Eurasian Association Golf Charity 2011

Calling all golfers! To help raise necessary funds for the EA, we will be hosting a charity golf tournament on 18 November 2011 at Warren Golf and Country Club. The guest-of-honour gracing the event will be Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong. Donation flights start from $1,200, and the cost for individual players is $300. Well wishers who don’t wish to golf are most welcome to make a cash donation towards this fund raising drive.

EA’s World War II exhibit temporarily closed for renovations

The World War II Exhibit on the 4th Floor, ECH is temporarily closed for renovations and is expected to reopen at the end of October 2011.

All the panels and artefacts have been moved into the dance studio for temporary storage and will be reinstalled when the infrastructure renovations are completed.

Exhibition planned to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Portuguese arrival in Asia

In collaboration with the National Heritage Board, EA will host an exhibition commemorating the 500th Anniversary of the Portuguese in Asia in December 2011. The exhibit will highlight the impact of the Portuguese on local communities (religion, language, cuisine and culture) and especially on the development of the Eurasian Community through intermarriage.

We are calling on all members of our Community to loan/donate photographs, artefacts, articles which will enhance and enliven this Exhibition. All loaned items will be documented & returned after the end of the Exhibition.
