We are pro-active in building a strong sense of belonging to the Community and to Singapore. This is the mission of the Community Development Committee. Each sub-committee focuses on activities for a particular target group to enhance our community spirit.

Toastmasters Club

  • Overcome your fear of public speaking in a friendly and supportive environment.
  • EA Toastmasters Club welcomes anyone who is 18 years and above to join them on the first Saturday of each month for a productive public speaking session. Learn from fellow toastmasters and express yourself with the educational items and themes provided.
  • We would also like to invite all tertiary students to join us at one of the captivating toastmasters’ sessions to learn the finer points of public speaking – ace those presentations at school!

Community Engagement

  • Organising diverse activities for the family and community.
  • Balut Section – a fun dice game for people of all ages.
  • Read@EA – to promote reading at the EA and lead members through a range of discussion points raised from a reading list.
  • Craft@EA – a class of all things art and fun!
  • Tea@EA/Games Day – gather to play a variety of games including Carom, Scrabble, Mahjong, Chikee and many more! It will be an exciting session to de-stress and socialise.

Heritage and Culture

  • Conducts studies on our Eurasian heritage, family history, genealogy and traditions, and culture.
  • Organises learning journeys, exhibitions, talks and tours on Eurasian Heritage and Culture
